The Pathfinder is a locally owned and operated outdoor equipment store in Manhattan, Kansas. We opened in 1975 and specialize in gear and clothing for bicycling, backpacking, paddling, climbing, traveling, fly fishing and other outdoor activities. The Pathfinder is located in Downtown Manhattan, Kansas. Our distinctive green awning can be found at 304 Poyntz, just west of the Manhattan Town Center mall.
Go See It! Lectures at Flint Hills Discovery Center
The new Flint Hills Discovery Center has planned a lecture series on the third Thursday of every month, with featured speakers to highlight places and activities throughout the Flint Hills. We are happy to partner with them to make these great opportunities available to our community. Come and enjoy!
Lectures will be held in the classroom at the FHDC at 7 p.m. for no charge.

Women's Ride Day: April 28
Next Saturday, April 28, women across the nation will be recognizing Women’s Ride Day, sponsored by Specialized. We will be hosting a local ride as well. Meet at The Pathfinder at 9:00 a.m.: one group will go on a casual, fun ride around town and campus (maybe the Linear Trail, depending on interest); the other will go on a longer road ride, probably about 15 miles or so. So bring your friend, your daughter, your neighbor, your sister and join us as we enjoy riding our bikes!
Enjoy the Prairie
Many local hikers' favorite spot is the Konza Prairie, especially in the spring before the sun gets too hot. With over six miles of public trails that wind through forested areas, limestone ledges and tallgrass prairie, it's a great way to get in touch with the unique ecosystem of the Flint Hills tallgrass prairie. The views are amazing, too, so take your camera!
