Exciting new stove system

We were having fun at The Pathfinder this week, playing with the new stove system from Optimus: the Crux Weekend Cook System. If you're looking for an ultralight, small, versatile stove and cookset, this is the best we've seen, and for a great price! We've had the Crux stove for a while, and have always liked its compact size, as it folds up and can fit in the curved cavity under a fuel canister. But the new cookset makes it possible to fit the stove, an 8 oz. fuel canister, a fry pan and a .95L pot with a heat exchanger all together in a small bag that is about 5 x 4.5 inches, and it weighs (minus the fuel) only 10.7 oz. Cost for the whole setup (again, minus the fuel) is just $80!

Of course, we're not just interested in how it looks -- how does it work?? So we fired one up to test it in the store, and it was the fastest, most efficient lightweight stove we've seen. The heat exchanger on the pot gives it high efficiency, and boil time in the store was under two minutes. And it's not just useful for boiling water, but can be used for cooking with both the fry pan and the pot.
